By installing or using AstrylStudio ("the Software") you agree to this End User License Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree, do not install the Software, and remove any copy in your possession.

"Free Features" — any feature of the Software that does not require a paid licence to use, together with any Pro Feature while it is being used during a Trial.

"Pro Features" — features that become available only with a valid paid licence, sold under the name AstrylStudio Pro.

"Trial" — a time-limited evaluation period during which Pro Features are available at no charge.

"Device" — one physical or virtual computer on which the Software is installed.

The Licensor grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software under this Agreement. This is a licence, not a sale: ownership of the Software and all intellectual property in it remains with the Licensor.

You may not rent, lease, lend, resell, sublicense, or transfer the Software or your licence to any other person.

You may use the Free Features on any number of Devices you own or control, at no charge, including for commercial purposes.

Your licence to use the Free Features does not extend to other people. Each user must accept this Agreement separately.

5.1 Devices. One paid licence entitles one named user to use Pro Features on up to THREE (3) Devices at a time. All three must be used by you.

5.2 Moving a licence. You may release a Device from your licence at any time from within the Software or your account, freeing that slot for another Device. Replacing a computer does not require contacting support.

5.3 Activation. Activating Pro Features requires signing in once over the internet. After activation the Software continues to work offline. The Software re-checks your licence periodically when a connection is available; the current offline period is stated in the Software and in the online FAQ.

5.4 Organisations. If you are not an individual, each user who uses Pro Features requires their own licence.

A Trial of fourteen (14) days is available once per account. When the Trial ends, Pro Features stop working and the Free Features continue to work. Files you produced during the Trial remain yours and remain usable.

A paid licence for AstrylStudio 1.x is perpetual for that version line: it does not expire, and it includes all 1.x updates. A future major version (2.x) may be a separate product requiring a new or upgrade licence.

Your licence is tied to your account. You agree not to share your account credentials or licence key, and not to publish them or any file that grants Pro access. The Licensor may revoke a licence found to be shared publicly, without refund.

You may not:

(a) copy the Software except for backup purposes;

(b) distribute, publish, or make the Software available to others;

(c) remove or alter any copyright, licence, or attribution notice;

(d) use the Software in violation of applicable law.

Except as stated in this section and as permitted by applicable law, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.

THIS RESTRICTION DOES NOT APPLY TO THE OPEN SOURCE COMPONENTS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 11. In particular, the Software includes components licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 ("LGPL"), currently Qt and wcslib. Nothing in this Agreement restricts your right to:

(a) modify those LGPL components; or

(b) reverse engineer the Software to the extent necessary to debug your own

modifications to those components.

The LGPL components are dynamically linked and ship as separate, replaceable files in the installation directory, so that you may substitute your own build of them.

The Software includes third-party components, each used under its own licence. They are listed, with their licences, in:

in the installation directory, and reachable from Help > About. Verbatim licence texts are in legal\licenses\. Where a third-party licence grants you rights broader than this Agreement, that licence governs that component.

12.1 Your images stay on your computer. The Software does not upload the images you process, and image processing does not require an account.

12.2 No telemetry. The Software does not collect usage analytics.

12.3 Account data. If you create an account, the Licensor stores your email address, your display name if you provide one, your licence status, and for each activated Device a one-way hash of a machine identifier plus a device name. The raw machine identifier never leaves your computer.

12.4 Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time, at the Privacy contact above. Deleting your account removes your account data and deactivates your licences.

12.5 Processors. Payment and account infrastructure are operated by third parties on the Licensor's behalf; see the Privacy Policy for the current list.

Purchases are made through a payment provider acting as merchant of record; that provider is the seller for the transaction and issues your invoice.

You may request a refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase, for any reason, by writing to the Contact address from the email you bought with. We issue the refund through the merchant of record, and it can take up to ten (10) days to appear on your statement. The merchant of record may also decide refund requests sent to it directly. After a refund, Pro Features stop the next time the Software checks your licence online.

Support is provided on a best-effort basis by email, in the Licensor's business days, at the Contact address above. Support is not a guarantee of a fix or of a response within any particular time.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING WHETHER THE SOFTWARE MEETS YOUR REQUIREMENTS, AND FOR KEEPING BACKUPS OF YOUR DATA.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR OBSERVING TIME, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.

THE LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

This Agreement ends automatically if you materially breach it. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove your copies. Sections 9 through 16 survive termination.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions of the country in which you reside, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and the third-party notices referenced above, is the entire agreement between you and the Licensor regarding the Software.
